Bolstered with godly strength... awesomely ethereal... too natural and fresh for this world... and the name of my new cat! Meows from Thea!
This is very interesting and alluring.
How are you meant to pronounce this? THEE-o-fa-NIE-a? Thee-o-FAN-ya?
Wow- I absolutely love this name! It’s so much prettier than Tiffany, and I’ve always liked Ancient Greek names.
This name is pronounced as it's spelled- Theophania (Theofania if you can't grasp that ph makes a f sound in English).
KVpp, no need to be snarky. It is polysyllabic, and correct pronunciation is a matter of getting the intonation/prosody right.
It's a nice name. I've only known one Theophania, but it's got a nice meaning and is much better than its awful ancestor, Tiffany.
Empress Theophanu (960-991) was a Byzantine princess and the wife of Otto II, Holy Roman Emperor. She was criticized for her decadence, which included bathing once a day, and is credited with introducing the fork to Western Europe.
This is an absolutely gorgeous, regal name. It's hard to believe that the trendy name Tiffany is derived from this (although Tiffany itself is actually an old name). Theophania is so... otherworldly.
It's hard to believe this beautiful name is related to the terrible name Tiffany.
This is the original form of the totally dated name Tiffany.
It is very nice, yet a little hard to pronounce.
