I really love this name, but I have also known for it to be spelled Tikvah, with an 'H' at the end.

It's probably only an English language concern, but this name reminds me of the word "tick," which is both a blood-sucking bug and a nervous twitch that can't be helped. I like the meaning, but I'm not too crazy about this name.
