I don't like this as a first name. It sounds quite pretentious.

I have a pig named Truman. It's always seemed like a silly name to me that I only associate with my pig Truman and Truman Capote. As you can see, I wouldn't use it for my kid.

It almost sounds like "trumna" which means "coffin" in Polish. Spooky name!

The only bearer of this name I've met was a Saint Bernard. A dog. And now I can't help but think of dogs when I hear it. On a human, it sounds odd and pretentious, and I can't picture it on someone under thirty.

This name would be hysterical on a dishonest and untrustworthy type of person lol!

I just see too much teasing potential for this particular name

1: True (what if he's dishonest and lies frequently?)
2: True man: (What if he isn't a true man?)
3: As a given name, it sounds dated. Like a name more fitting on someone back from the 50's era and beyond
4: It's very 'surnamey'.

This is a great name! It's unique and sweet for a baby boy. We are naming our second son this.
