Comments for the name Vasilios

There are many Greek males with the name Vasilios. My husbands middle name is Basil, and after playing with names, we are considering naming our first son Vasilios, because it's a variation of Basil, but more unique and it doesn't sound like the spice. I've also read that the name is Greek and means 'with royal blood'. It's ALSO the name of a church in Massachusetts.
