Meaning & History

This name was invented by George Bernard Shaw for a character in his play Caesar and Cleopatra. She is Cleopatra's nurse. The name was used by ventriloquist Jimmy Nelson for a puppet of his, a cat. Though she was female, her voice was based on Ed Wynn's. The scientific name of Kleopatrina ftatateeta was given to a fossil coral of the Permian period.
