[Opinions] Maddox
WDYTO the name Maddox? What are some good nicknames for it? The only nicknames I can think of are Mad and Maddie and I don't like either of those. What are your ideas?

It's ok. A OK NN could be Doxy. It doesn't remind me of a mad ox, mad duck, or mad dick. I wouldn't personally name my child this.

Maddox is a tryndee surname, derived from the totally legitimate first name Madoc. Try that. As for nicknames Mac or Max.

I love Maddox. It's a very strong, masculine name. Maddox doesn't really need a nn, but perhaps Max, an equally strong name, could work.

Max, definitely, although for the nn Max I vastly prefer Maxwell or Maximillian. Maddox is so very Angelina Jolie.

Mad oxNever got the appeal of this name.If you must use it, I would go for Max as a nn. Not the most obvious, but I like it a lot.

you pronounce it differently then me, interesting. I don't get mad dox at all when saying Maddox. I say Mad-dix.

My pronunciation is more like "mad ducks" :)MADucks. I like it anyway though. I can't defend myself when it comes to liking it, on any grounds, but I like it nevertheless.

I like it, though I'd never use it because of Angelina Jolie. Max or Maxie. I don't think it really needs a nickname since it's already so short.

Maddox will always remind me of Angelina Jolie's little boy. I'm not a huge fan of the name but you could always call him...Moxie? Ha! that makes me laugh just thinking of that! Moxie, pick up your toys! Moxie, phones for you! Moxie, BAD DOG! Ha! Oh wow I'm messed!

Max and Moxie seem like the obvious nicknames to me. I really dislike the name Maddox, though.Array

I like it alot but probably wouldn't ever use it. Max was the nn that came to mind for me as well.

It's ok, but not really my style...and Max would fit as a nn.
