[Opinions] Selma vs. Anselma
Do you prefer Selma on its own or as a nn for Anselma? I'd probably only say Selma, but is it incomplete on its own? Thanks in advance. :)

By far, I prefer Selma. It's just fine on its own.

I prefer Selma. I don't think it sounds incomplete or nickname-y at all. Anselma sounds a bit clunky to me, and said fast sounds like "Aunt Selma". :b

I would just use Selma. It is fine on its own.

SelmaAnselma is just too much for this day and age. I love Selma, it's a great name. :-D

I don't think Selma sounds incomplete, and personally find Anselma quite unattractive, so I would much rather see just Selma on its own :-)

I've never in my life heard of anybody named Anselma, with or without the nn Selma. I have heard of a couple of Selmas, mostly older women. So I'd say if you wanted to use Selma, just use it on its own.Heh, "Selma or Anselma" could be interpreted as "Selma or No-Selma" as An is a prefix meaning "without" or "not."
