You do know Liam is a nn for William, right? If that's the case, then there's no argument about what name to choose. It can be William, with the nn Liam. :)I, sadly, don't know any Williams, but I've always liked the naeme. It's very masculine, traditional and not in any danger of being outdated - at least, not IMO.

I tcould be a name on it's own. I heard somewhere that it meant "my people" in Hebrew, I am not 100% sure on the validity of that statement. I am surprised you have never met a William. In one of my classes freshman year we had five Williams out of twenty kids. it was so confusing because they all went by Will.
