I think it is cute. I prefer the Calliope spelling. Would she get Calla for short? I think Calla-Eve would be adorable :)
I don't think it would be off putting for non-name nerds. The pronunciation isn't that difficult. Both Calliope Evangelynn and Evangelynn Calliope are lovely
