I have a soft spot for
Glynis as it's like a combination of
Glynn and
Glenys (both family names).
Glynn was actually named after
Glenys "
Glen" (
Glenys hates
Glenys and prefers to be called
Glen). I just like that it's different but not completely out there. The 'y' (i) sound makes it more feminine and softer sounding than
Glenys.
To me Glynis/Glenys have more substance than
Glenna. Though I think
Glenna is cute. I don't like
Glenda.
