I think that it makes the names more interesting. I don't really like names that are all about the fantasy of a perfect person. I prefer names that are a bit jaded (just not names that are obviously jaded like Adolf).

Ophelia is established as a name, so it doesn't really bug me. But Desdemona would, maybe because it's less used as a given name, or for the name itself. Ajax bugs me because it's also a brand of detergent, but if you live in a country where people wouldn't make this connection then I guess it won't matter, sice very few people are familiar with the story
