[Opinions] Gaelic speakers please help...
I posted this at name facts board too but i guess not very many people go to that one as much as this one. So here's my question: how do u pronounce Gesader (a book I read said that it was the Gaelic word for Enchanter)? Is it pronounced with a hard G as in "Gabrielle" or a soft G as in "Gina"? Also, what do you all think of it as a name?

It would be hard G - G is never pronounced "j" in Gaelic. I only know a very little Gaelic but if you Google "Gesader" you'll see there it only appears in a sci-fi story, not in any Gaelic language article or dictionary. I'm not sure I'd believe it is a Gaelic word at all. Even if the author thinks it is ... A lot of rubbish is spouted about the Gaelic languages because it's fashionable to profess a great love for them...especially among those who know nothing about them at all. So you might take it with a pinch of salt when someone says a name means such-and-such in Gaelic.Anyway, I don't think I like Gesader. There are much more attractive names out there.
