Message: "Gwen?" - Behind the Name

If you wanted to use the name Guinevere, but liked the nn Gwen, would it be better to use Guinevere nn Gwen or Gwenevere nn Gwen? Do you have any alternate spelling suggestions? Would it be better to avoid Guinevere and use Gwendolyn or Gwendolen?

I find Gwen very old ladyish - I prefer Gwenda as a nn for Gwendolyn/Gwendolen. But that's just me! I think those names are beautiful and due perhaps for a quiet revival. Gwendoline is my favourire spelling (followed by the -en one) the name of a friend, Violet Gwendoline.
Guinevere seems to invite Guin rather than Gwen. Guin is pretty close to Gwen in sound so if you love Guinevere go for it!

Guinevere works fine as a full name for Gwen. I think it's nice.

I prefer Guinevere nn Gwen.

I prefer Guinevere to Gwendolen.

I'd spell it Guinevere and use Gwen as a nickname. Ther's no law stating the nickname must match exactly with the given name! :D Guinevere/Gwen is gorgeous!

Gwen and Guin sound different in many accents, so I don't know if Gwen could work as a nn for Guinevere, and Gwenevere looks wrong.

I love Gwendolen, so I would use that instead.

I had the same thought about Gwen and Guin, Guinevere and Gwenevere. That's were my hesitation comes in, but I love the name. I do also love Gwendolen, just slightly less than Guinevere.
