[Surname] Meaning of a Czech/Slovak and Hungarian surname.
Hello everyone,I have two surnames that I would dearly like to know the meaning and etymology of. The first is Puncsak, which is Czech or Slovak. The second is Volgyi (or Völgyi), which is Hungarian.I have no clue about the meaning and origin of the Czech/Slovak surname, but I suspect that the Hungarian surname might be related to the Russian nickname for Alexander, namely Volodya. I'm not certain of this, however.Could someone please shed some light on these surnames? It would be very much appreciated.Thank you very much,Dorchadas
