Vera is a Spanish (LATIN) based name.Pronounced (BVE-RRR-A) the BV is spoken quick and soft. The E is of a long A vowel sound. The R is trilled. The A is of the Short O sound as the word FALL.Spain named the land Vera Cruz in Mexico five hundred years ago in there conquering of the Latin countries.Vera means TRUTH, as in Vera Cruz means True Cross.Vera is also very popular in Portugal,and Italy due to same language roots.
