I love Bridget. I'm biased because of my Irish mother, but it does have a fresh energy about it. It's one of those overlooked gems that should get more attention than it does.
The nns Bridie and Birdy are cute to me, but they're not everyone's cup of tea. My sister's MIL is called Bridie. She's from Ireland too.
I have some mn suggestions if you (or your dd / SIL of course) ever get that far. :-)
