I absolutely adore it. I like all spellings, actually. Where I live, you'd be most likely to come across a Konstantin (which is unfortunately getting trendy), but I would personally use Constantine.
I think Connie is hideous as a nickname, Stan is a bit better. I'm pretty sure a three-syllable name would get shortened somehow anyway.
