[Opinions] Big Blended Family of British Aristocrats
I was just reading about Elisabeth Murdoch (daughter of Rupert), and ended up (as usual) looking up her children's names. This took me on a winding path through the swath of stepsiblings her kids have. Try to follow (or don't, and just let me know what you think of the names). So, Elisabeth Murdoch first married Elkin Kwesi Pianim. They had two daughters, Cornelia and Anna. Her second marriage was to Matthew Freud. They have two children, Charlotte Emma and Samson.Matthew had previously been married to Caroline Hutton, who goes by the very posh nickname of Pidge. They had two sons, George Rupert and Jonah Henry. After divorcing Matthew, Pidge married Charles Edward Maurice , the 9th Earl Spencer, who was the brother of Princess Diana. They had two children, the Honorable Edmund Charles (called Ned) and Lady Lara.Of course, Earl Spencer had previously been married to Catherine Victoria Lockwood. They had four children: Lady Kitty Eleanor, twins Lady Eliza Victoria and Lady Katya Amelia (who goes by her middle name), and Louis Frederick John, Viscount Althorp.Their mother, Catherine, married Jonathan Aitken after divorcing Earl Spencer. Their son is named Samuel.Crazy, isn't it? This is just the web of stepsiblings, and while there are some neat names in here, there are even more interesting selections when you get into the lists of their cousins. But I'll spare you. Anyhow, WDYT?
