[Opinions] Stella
What do you think of when you hear the name Stella? I adore it, but I'm not sure what the reactions of others might be and we are keeping the name to ourselves until the birth (i.e. dont want "help" from opinionated family members!), so I can't bounce this off of anyone else. We are thinking of naming her Stella Caroline. Thanks in advance for the help.

I love Stella. An adorable little girl came into my work the other week with this name and I think she carried it quite well. It was nice to hear something other that Madison.
Good idea keeping the name a secret. I will be doing the same thing.

Stella Caroline is beautiful!I love the name Stella. I think it's a little funky-sounding (which I mean in a good way!) and has a nice meaning. It's fairly unique, lovely, and a strong girls' name.Congratulations and great name choice! Don't listen to anyone who has negative opinions about Stella's name.

Sometimes I like it, sometimes I don't. Today, though, I think it's subtle and pretty. Although I'm not a fan of Caroline, the combo has a nice flow to it.

Beautiful, sweet name, one of my favorites, and Stella Caroline has a very nice flow. I think it sounds rather delicate but confident at the same time.

It makes me think of the hand-clapping sing-song rhyme we said as kids: Stella, stella ola, ...

I like itBut I do think it suits a certain type of personality. Not everyone can pull this name off, in my opinion. It suits someone who is quite sly and maybe a little pretentious. Someone with dark features...either of Spanish or Italian descent, or someone who is to the other extreme, incredibly light skinned with white blond hair...nothing in between.

I like it, it sounds good, and she won't get teased beacuse of her name. Beautiful combo

I would prefer Estella and Estelle (and Estel to both of those), just because I can't see Stella aging well. I see a blonde little girl up until the age of 10 maybe. I can't imagine someone thirty with the name Stella (nor can I with Kaylee or Nevaeh but I digress). Also I think of the word stellar. Stella Caroline is pretty though.

Stella is nice, though I'd never call it one of my favorites, I would love to see it used. The meaning gives it points! ;)I like Stella Caroline.
