It's a nice name - a bit boring just because it is/was used so often, but in this age of Aidens, Caidens, and Braedens, Michael as a first name is a welcome change for a new little guy.
I do perceive it as a filler mn for boys, so I prefer to see it as a first name for new babies. Also, Mike is ok, but I think the nn Mickey is cute for occassional use.
