[Opinions] Eva vs Ava
How do you pronounce Eva and Ava? (For me, it's EE-vah and AY-vah)Which do you prefer? and why?What kind of person do you see when you hear Ava and Eva?If Ava wasn't so popular, would you use it?

Eva - eh-vah (English: eh-vah or ee-vah)
Ava - ah-vah (English: ay-vah)If I had to choose between the two for a daughter I would choose Ava (ah-vah) but I think I would rather see people using Eva.

Eva: EE-Vah
Ava: AY-vahI prefer Ava. Dunno why. And yes I would use it, I don't care that it's popular I have never met one.

I say EV-ah and AY-vah. I prefer Eva because Ava is too popular, though I do like Ava. I don't think I like enough to actually use, popular or not.

I say them the sam way you do. I prefer Eva, it's more interesting and timeless. I picture a dark-haired, voluptuous woman when I think of Eva, and a fair young girl with Ava, a skinny teenager. I don't think I would use Ava even if it wasn't popular, it seems to lack dimension and personality. I'd more likely use Ada, Avis or Aviva.

-I pronounce the names just the way you do.-I prefer Ava because I think it has a prettier sound.-I see a low-key, easy-going natural beauty in Ava, a loud, brassy, slightly obnoxious but still pretty girl in Eva.-Probably, if I were having kids.

I pronounce them both AY-vah, unless the person named Eva pronounces it otherwise. I prefer Ava, though, because of the old-Hollywood glamour associations. I'd use it in a heartbeat if it hadn't become popular.I have the worst luck - I loved Ava and Emma for *years* before they suddenly became popular.

I pronounce Eva EE-vah and Ava Ay-vah.I love the name Eva. It is a beatiful and sounds more mature and sophisticated than Ava imo.I'm not sure what kind of person I picture. I think the names can fit just about any personality.I wouldnt use Ava, only because I love Eva more.

I pronounce both as AY-va, but I have an online friend with a baby Eva (EE-va) and I know one Eva (EH-va) so I adapt when I have to. Of the two, I prefer Ava simply because its pronunciation is straight forward.I picture a cute under-10-year-old for Ava and a pretty Latina woman with long dark hair for Eva, but either name could belong to any type of person. If Ava was my favorite name, I'd use it without regard to its popularity. I'd never consider Ava or Eva, though, because I love Eve so much more.

Eva = EE-vah
Ava = AY-vahI love both names, but I think I prefer Ava. I'm not too sure why I prefer it, I just do. The popularity of Ava doesn't bother me too much, as I probably wouldn't use it anyway.

I say them both as AY-va, but Ava looks too much like AH-va, so I prefer Eva.

I say EE-vah and AY-vah too.I prefer Ava, just because I think it's prettier. ♥And I would still use Ava even though it is popular.
