[Opinions] How would you pronounce Phebe?
I recently chose this name for myself (I'm not happy with my birth name, it doesn't 'fit' me)
I really liked the name Phoebe, but to me it was just a little too much Phoebe Buffay (Friends)
But how would you pronounce this name?
The same as Phoebe (FEE-bee) or a little different FAY-be (I like the last one)

I'd probably pronounce it the same as Phoebe. It looks like a dumbed-down respelling of Phoebe, tbh.I don't really understand why you would change the spelling because of a character in a sitcom. It still sounds the same.

It's not just because of the sitcom, I like it better this way.
Phebe just an alternate spelling, lot's of names have an alternate spelling.
Phebe was also used in Shakespeare (I like Shakespeare)

I pronounce it FEE-bee like Phoebe.

same as PhoebeThough I think it would get "feeb" a lot, as YellowRose does. Have you legally changed your name? Febe is the Hungarian (I think?) version of Phoebe if that appeals to you as well.

I'd pronounce it FEEB.

I think it's also different on where you live my local friends say FAY-be (non-native English speakers)I was just curious how others would pronounce Phebe, mostly like Phoebe I guess, both ways are fine to me.In Dutch the spelling is Febe (the Bible Rom. 16:1)

to me, this looks more likely to be pronounced 'Phee-bee' more then Phoebe does...

Certainly the same as Phoebe! I couldn't imagine anyone going the FAY-be route. Phebe is just a historically fossilised spelling mistake, not a pronunciation variant. If you really like the sound of FAY-be, try Mabel. At least it's accurate.

Either as FEE-bee (thinking it was a bad spelling) or just FEEB, (thinking it was a nickname)

I would assume it's supposed to be a "creative" spelling of Phoebe. But in my head it would be said FE-bee.

I'd think it looked like an adulturated sp. of Fee-bee.
