WDYT of the names Soraya and Elysia? Are they "too much" to use on real people?

Soraya's a bit much, but Elysia is a name I wouldn't mind using.

I like Soraya a lot. My mother used to know a girl called Soraya so I think it's not too much.I am not so fond of Elysia - it's a bit too frilly for me - the look rather than the sound. I think it's usable too - it sounds like Alicia to me.

I love both.I don't think either is too much to use, mainly because I've met people with the names. Elysia is my favorite - I have a cousin with the name (Elysia Eir) and I've always loved her name. She hates it - she would have been much happier as a Kristin, Jennifer, Jessica - but I find it completely lovely.

Soraya is gorgeous, but Elysia (eh-LEE-zhuh?) sounds more like some kind of disease. They would definitely be too much together.

Ironically, it's soraya that sounds closer to an ACTUAL liver disease.

Elysia's not quite my style (though I quite like Elisa), but it's not bad. Soraya makes me think of a liver disease that starts w/ similar sounds.

I love Soraya, and I think it would work in real life. I'm not so sure about Elysia. It's pretty enough, but I'm not a huge fan, and it would also have mispronunciation issues.

I love Soraya and Elysia is ok.
Why would they be too much in real life? I've met a Soraya and didn't think anything of it (apart from being happy about it) and she didn't seem to have any trouble with it (she was Arabic though).

One of my Dad's closest friends from high school is named Soraya. I think because she has always been apart of my life, I see it as a pretty 'regular' name. It definitely works well IRL, it is a beautiful name, not too difficult to pronounce or spell but unusual. Elysia isn't my taste but definitely not too much. If people can use flouncy frilly names like Liliana and Alexandria, Elysia is fine.

Soraia is very common over here for females in my age gap and mostly from a low-middle class background. I know a Soraya, though.Elysia is very, very pretty, and it reminds me of 'Ode to Joy'.
