Donnchadh - Dun-a-ka. He could be Donagh (Dun-a) or Donie when young. I think both Donnchadh and Donagh are great names.
Seamus - Shea or Shamie could be nicknames.
Sean - Seanie or Seanín.
Any name beginning with Con. Connie could be the kiddish nn.
Diarmuid - Jer-mid. Jerry could be the kiddish nn.
Jarlath - Ja or Jerry could be the nn.

I am looking for a boy name that is popular for 7 year old boys right now that has a weak/baby sounding nickname, like Timmy, with a manly, strong, mature name like Alexander. I am trying to coordinate his character growth with every aspect about him.
