I knew a Maura in high school, she went by Mo most days. Always really liked her name, it just seems a lot fresher than both Maureen and Laura.I love Gable. Its different without being obscure, and still has a really comfy feel to it. Possibly a new favorite.

I really like Maura. I prefer Maureen, but Maura is great, too. Very nice to hear of it on a little girl! It seems like both of those names should be more popular than they are. I also think I've known more Maureens than I've should based on how popular it has been, too, though.Gable I'm torn on. On one hand I want to think it's elegant and dashing a la Clark Gable, but on the other hand, it's a kind of roof part. Weird for a name.

I love Maura. It's just the sort of underrated gem waiting to be rediscovered. it has a very calm, reassuring vibe to it. I can't picture a Maura being a drama queen.Gable? Very Clark and green. Not my style.

I like Maura, but not Gable. Gable is the surname craze taken to the extreme. Of course, if a child can be named Taylor, Jones, or Evans, why not Gable?
