[Opinions] Re: Evangeline or Scarlett?
I dislike them both, for different reasons.Scarlett is as much of a one-owner name as Dagwood or Dilbert, but unfortunately the glamour attached to that one owner has given it some status in the real world and seems to have sparked a minor outbreak of people named Indigo, Crimson etc. This is good for a laugh once, but becomes old and tired very quickly. Plus, even if not even one Scarlett person is a pole dancer with bad acne, it does have a tacky image.Evangeline? Very long, though admittedly with lots of nn possibilities (what do you nn Scarlett - either Letty or Scar, perhaps?), but the in-your-face evangelical associations are attractive to some and a right turnoff to others, including me. My mother's friend Evangeline was known as Vangie, which is another turnoff.
