[Opinions] Re: Aquinnah
in reply to a message by Lily
Isn't there a celebrity kid named Aquinnah? Like a teenager age one, not a baby.Anyway, I like it. The sound and look is appealing, and it's very autumnal and leafy. That's because it reminds me of Aquinas, which is a private college near me (named for Thomas Aquinas, I'd imagine) that has tons of different trees on its campus from all over. We took a field trip to see them in 8th grade. :) Anyway, I love Aquinas, so I also like anything that resembles it.I pronounce it a-KWIN-a. I don't know why anyone would say a-KEE-na. It looks like a Native American word. (And I think it is, too?)

Yep, Michael J Fox's daughter. She'd be about 15/16. She has a twin named Schuyler (girl). Are you in Australia? I've seen a school named Aquina when I was there. But I pronounce them differently. Aquina=ah-KEE-na, Aquinnah=ah-KWINN-a.The place I saw was pronounced ah-KEE-na (the school, I mean). But Aquinnah is definitely ah-KWIN-a to me. Yes, it's native American.

Oh that town is just beautiful, by the way. I just googled it. Gorgeous. Oh and I didn't look at your username, sorry. I know you're from the US :)
