Ah, I returned to the Opinions board just in time to cast one of the few (or maybe only) negative opinions of Charlotte. I'm assuming this, as I haven't read the other responses yet, but in the past this has been the case---mine is usually the only negative opinion amongst a sea of glowing responses.
Anyhoo---I absolutely can't stand the name Charlotte. To me, it's one of the ugliest names out there, with a very strong frumpy image. All I can think of when I hear it is a short, middle-aged woman with frizzy mousy brown hair, thick glasses, and orthopedic shoes.
The only Charlotte I've ever known was nice enough, but a little odd.
