Help[Opinions] Pronunciation of -line names :)
Just wondering how you pronounce these names. I pronounce some of them with an -een, some with an -inn and some with an -ine ending so I'm really curious :P

Caroline: KER-ə-lien
Rosaline: I would think RAWZ-ə-lien in my head (Shakespearean pronunciation), but I would assume the person's name was pronounced ROZ-ə-leen
Emmeline: EM-ə-lien
Madeline: I would think MAD-ə-lin, but assume MAD-ə-lien
Adeline: AD-ə-lien
Madeleine: MAD-ə-lin

I pronounce them all like "line" except Emmeline, which is "leen" and Madeleine, which is "len."
My pronunciations are probably standard for where I live with the possible exceptions of Madeline/Madeleine (always a question mark) and Rosaline and Emmeline (not common enough locally to have a standard pronunciation).

All with a -line ending, and that's my favorite for all of them except Rosaline (I prefer ROSE-ah-leen or ROSE-ah-lyn). I also like MAD-uh-lehn (not MAD-uh-lyn, which I hate) for Madeleine, though.

Caroline: -linn or -line, depending on the circumstance.
Rosaline: I use all three (-linn, -line, -leen) for different situations.
Emmeline: Both -leen and -line.
Madeline: Probably -linn or -line.
Adeline: -line and -linn.
Madeleine: -len or -line.
I do not have one set way. As the first to display, the pronunciation is dictated by the condition.

Caroline - (my name) The closest I can get to how I pronounce is -leen. I like the -lin pronunciation too. That's how people pronounced it in France. In English I'm Caro-LINE. I always introduced myself as Caro-LINE in Ireland and did not like when people called me Carolyn.

Except I would be likely to say Emmeline and Rosaline to rhyme with green. Never having met anybody by those names.
I'd say Madeleine to rhyme with pin except when reading the Madeleine books, because then you have to rhyme it with pine or the rhyme scheme is ruined.
