To be honest, it's probably my least favorite girls' name. It's awkward to pronounce, like a mispronunciation of Cindy, and has an almost nasally sound. The inevitable nn Syd/ Sid is just awful.
It's not quite as bad on a boy (only the Sidney spelling), but I still don't care for it at all.
