JOO-lee-et or joo-lee-ET?
I was always under the impression that you put the emphasis on the first syllable (Juliet) and the last syllable (Juliette) but lately I've heard lots of people pronounce Juliet (as in Romeo+Juliet) as joo-lee-ET.
Could you also tell me where you're from? It doesn't have to be specific, just the country is fine.
What do you think of Juliet? Juliet or Juliette? Is it too tragic a name? Getting too common?
