TBH (since I figure you'd prefer that) I think
Bruno sounds like a hipster name, on a cat belonging to, you know, the person he belongs to. Ironic, or else literary in some in-jokey way.
Bruno seems kind of stormy and oh so Continental, to me.
Also
Bruno was the name of a gene I studied when I worked in the lab. I can't remember why it was named that ... oh, yeah, it was an in-jokey thing, referring to names of other genes. So maybe that is why I feel that way about it on the cat, and in general. Maybe if not for that gene thing, I'd think of
Bruno the way I do about, say,
Klaus, or
Sergio. I think
Klaus or
Sergio would be good names for that cat. Fitting his face, with the sardonic look he has from that white marking, and fitting the coloring better somehow.
Bru seems to suit him well, though, and seems nicely less serious.
