[Opinions] Lia or Lydia?
I also love Leah, but I dislike the meaning and her story in the Bible. Thanks in advance. :)

If you're going with meaning according to thier story in the bible, I take Lydia. She was a woman enterpreneur in the time of Jesus...you really can't get more fantastic than that!

I prefer Lia, possibly as a nickname for Rosalia or Emilia.

Lydia, Lydia, Lydia!! I detest the name Lia/Leah and actually have a cousin with the name. The meaning, as you mentioned, is also unappealing. Lydia seems so classic and pretty.

I like both Leah (this spelling only since Lia is only one letter off Liar and that bothers me) and Lydia. I think I slightly prefer Lydia though, although they both have charm :)

I prefer Lia even though it's the same as Leah (in meaning).

Lydia, as the spelling of Lia makes me a bit uneasy as I am so familiar to Leah.

Lia. I've kind of gone off Lydia because it makes me think of litter.

I prefer Lydia. It's a very classic name and you could take Lia as nickname ;)

I have loved Lydia for years and it still creeps onto my top 20 favorites. There's such sweetness in the sound of Lydia but sophistication too.
Lia is nice too but I prefer the Leah spelling (or Lea if it's pronounced the same way).
