It's not my favorite, but it is a nice, dependable name with several nns to choose from My favorite uncle was Richard, called Ricky, and a good friend of our family is named Richard. He always goes by just Richard (his dad was Dick) but his brother still calls him Richie...because he knows it irritates him.
