My sister and brother-in-law once knew a Victoria whom my brother-in-law always called Veronica. So my sister would call her Victronica as a joke. Which makes me think they are too similar. But come to think of it, he's the only person I've ever heard of who couldn't remember that a Victoria is a Victoria and not a Veronica. So no, not too similar. I love both names.
