Mark Zuckerberg, his wife, and his daughter Maxima welcomed daughter August.WDYT?Personally, I feel though should have gone with Augusta instead of masculine August. I thought they hit it out of the park with Maxima and thought they would decide on something equally amazing this time.

August is exclusively male in Sweden, so I think it sounds very awkward on a girl.

Huh, trying too hard to be different and bend the gender of the name! August is all male to me. They will probably call her Gus, which will make it even worse! Max and Gus, great for boys, not for girls!

It should be pretty nice as a name. But then, listen to it. It's so plain and clunky! Especially with the surname - the -GUST ZUCK- part makes it more unfortunate, sound-wise. And her older sister's name is so sleek and power-y and feminine in contrast ... I'd resent this difference if I were August. If her older sister were, say, February or Ronalda, that would seem more fair. Augusta Zuckerberg does sound better and I agree they should've gone with that.

I prefer August over Augusta. August is neat and tidy, Augusta is just a big old sloppy mess. Good for them.I don't like Maxima. Ick.

Well, considering she was actually born in August I find it cute. August is a word name, so I consider it unisex.

I know a 17-year-old female August. It's not terrible, but I prefer it for a boy.

I don't mind August for a girl. I think it has a masculine enough sound that it isn't going to "switch" any time soon and it's the name of a month as well, which definitely makes it more unisex. It has a similar feel to River. I too would have preferred Augusta but I think the flow of August Zuckerberg is better than Augusta Zuckerberg. I hope they call her Gussie or Augie as a nickname.Max and Gussie sound very cute as sisters.

Max and Gus would be even cuter, IMO.

I actually really like August for a girl. But, it's also becoming a sort of "posh" or "wannabe posh" name, and next to Maxima is feels decidedly more masculine to me (I.e. It doesn't really "go" with Maxima as a sister name.)
