[Opinions] Re: Maxine, Judie and Therese
Maxine: hipster, self-consciously retro, glammy. It's a similar impression to Gloria. Except I think Maxine would "work" better on a child now.
Judie: this spelling annoys me. It looks artificial, like "Cindie" or "Bettie." Judy is a nice solid seeming name though. Retro, but not trying hard to be.
Therese: French. Dated. I find it boring and doughy. Not bad, just blah.- mirfak

I know my aunt originally spelled it, Judy, then changed it to Judie when she became older. She died at 33, there is a good chance she would have outgrown that spelling. I know my mom spelled her middle name Dianne until about 40. Dianne was more "glamorous." (She's Susan Diane.)
