What do you think of Jess as a first name for a girl? Not Jessica, Jessamine etc - just Jess.

Also, what do you think of Dean for a boy? I also think it can sound super as a middle name for a girl. All opinions welcome. :)

ETA: Jess and Dean sound nice for b/g twins too, now that I see them together. Yes, no?

I like Jess as a nickname to Jessica, but not by itself. It sounds unfinished. I love Dean.

Jessica nn Jess and Dean sound nice together.

Oh my god...

The first thing that came to mind when I saw your post was Gilmore Girls. Jess and Dean, two characters from the show. I like the names, but I can't get away from the Gilmore Girls image.

Gilmore girls....

In the second/third season of Gilmore Girls, whiny little Rory couldn't choose between two fools named Jess and Dean, so that's all that comes to my mind when I see those two together. But I do like both of them separately, and for boys only.

I don't like Jess as a formal name, for either sex. It's a nn, to me. It needs more.

Dean isn't my favorite. It makes me think of the title for the head of a college.

Dean is also nms. I don't like it for a girl at all!
I don't like them as a b/g twinset.

I like Jess for a girl or a boy, but I prefer it for a girl. Dean is nice for a boy, but definitely not for a girl. I don't like them together though, it's too Gilmore Girls.
