[Opinions] Pronunciation of Veda?

Hello,I’m in love with the name Veda but worry it will be too often mispronounced.I believe the correct pronunciation is Vay-duh and it’s the pronunciation I prefer; however, it seems to be pronounced as Vee-duh when read by people unfamiliar with the name. How often do you think this name would be mispronounced and do you think it would be enough to not use it on my daughter?Thanks!

Vay-dah was my first thought. Pretty name, even if the pronunciation needs to be clarified sometimes. My name is Maria, literally one of the most common names on the planet, and I've had to correct pronunciation. Lol

Well, I say Vee-duh and it never occurred to me that there was another way to pronounce it, so I think it would be mispronounced very often. Probably all of the time. There is a character of this name in the movie "Mildred Pierce" and in the movie it's pronounced Vee-duh.

Well, I had a relative named it, so I don't know how helpful this is, but, I say Vay-duh, because that's what I've always heard.

Honestly, I read it as Vay-duh. I would think most people would read it this way.
