[Opinions] Re: May, Mae, Mei and Mai
May is okay. I like the y in the end. Mae reminds me of Tina Turner and Mae West. And I kind of expect it to be part of a combo, like Ellie Mae og Anna Mae. I like Maeve better. Mei is pretty. It’s probably the nicest version and the only option I actually like. I wouldn’t know about the Japanese Mai but Mai is the standard Danish version. Pronounced like My but the sound is shorter. TBH, I’ve always thought the name was kinda dull. Especially in the combination, you often find it in, in Denmark: Mai-Britt. Maiken (a related name) is also pretty dull.
