A "Doner Kebab" is. It's pronounced in the exact same way, unfortunately. Perhaps without the image of a large, rotating hunk of meat on a spit, Donna would sound nicer to my ears. As it is, it's kinda like naming a child "Bacon"

Its very popular. Often joked that its what drunk people buy at the end of the night. Sold in either specialised kebab places (who sell burgers and fish and chips on the side) or sometimes in chippies (on the side). They're all over the place here so if you ever come over, you'll have no shortage of options lol

My son told me that there was, some years ago but perhaps still, a van that sold kebabs and was run by a guy named Jason, so he called it Jason's Doner Van ...
