[Opinions] Charlotte vs. Amelia
Which one would you choose, and why? **After supposedly dying on January 30, 2007 after eating tainted pancakes, she returned several times as an angel and was revealed to be alive on May 17, 2011. )**

I like them both, but I like Charlotte most because it’s my middle name.

I do like Charlotte, despite it's extreme popularity. However, I have never liked Amelia. I don't like the "meal" part in the middle. Now, of the choices were Charlotte or Amalia, then Amalia would've won hands down. It's amazing, the difference a single letter makes.

I've always disliked Charlotte. Amelia for sure!

While I do find both nice, I prefer Charlotte.

I love both, but I'll go with Charlotte. I just love the nickname Charlie. Both Charlie and Charlotte are super popular here for girls, but oh well!

I dislike Charlotte, so Amelia. Charlotte has never sounded pretty to me, and I'm not sure why so many Americans are using this name, as it has always been a French/British name to me.

This is hard because they’re like, exactly the same type of name to me. I’m not a huge fan of either, but there was a time when I liked Amelia a lot, so I’ll pick that. I really don’t like Charlie as a nickname for Charlotte, and I’m not a big fan of Lottie either. Charlotte in full seems so prim.

In Poland, I'd use Amelia - I love the a-MEL-ya pronunciation, but hate the ə-MEEL-yə one. Otherwise, I'd go with Charlotte.

Charlotte. I don't know why exactly, it's just better ;)

I think I’m gonna have to say Charlotte here. Amelia isn’t a bad name, but Charlotte is a little better. I prefer Amalia anyways.

I don’t really like either, but I guess I’d pick Charlotte and call her Lottie.

Both great names, Amelia is prettier and more feminine and lots of nns

oooo, I love both, they're both favorites and in my top 25 favorites list for girls... but Charlotte was my grandma's name. She was my most favorite person in the world and that puts Charlotte over Amelia for me.

Charlotte, easy. I love Charlotte and I dont really like Amelia at all. I'm not sure *why* I don't - I like variants like Amalia or Amalie just fine, very much even, but something about Amelia just doesn't do it for me. Charlotte's great, though.

Amelia.Charlotte is okay, but I find it a little frilly, while Amelia is more simple, nontheless it doesn't lose its charm.

Charlotte. It’s nms but I like it more than Amelia, which I find sickly sweet. Maybe Charlotte nn Charlie.

I really intensely dislike them both for their prissy, old-before-her-time-spinster vibes, but if I had to choose one or be shot I guess I'd pick Charlotte; it's not as mealy-sounding as Amelia and I guess I could call her Carly.

Amelia is more versatile. It sounds melodic and I like that their are so many nicknames to choose from (Mia, Millie, Amy, Melia, Lia), but it's beautiful on it's own as well.

That's a tough one. Charlotte in full kind of bores me, but I LOVE Lottie. So, so much. And I don't even mind Charlie, and I love all the nickname I could use for fun - Char, Chaz, Chuck, Chuckie.... and the name is such a pretty cherry red colour in my mind. But I prefer Charlotta, honestly. I also love the warmth of Amelia, and that it makes me think of Amelia Earhart. It has so much personality and a quiet elegance while also being down to earth. So maybe that one.... I do enjoy Amelia. OH, I just remembered that my grandmother hates the name Charlotte with a passion, so that seals it. I'd use Charlotte.
