[Opinions] Uncommon Natural Names?
Flowers, plants, gems, bird species, etc. are the namesakes for a lot of really nice, beautiful names. Some of the names are pretty popular/commonly seen, like Rose, Willow, Ruby, etc.Are there any that are more uncommon/seen infrequently that you like a lot/could see being used? I’m gonna answer this too, but I’d love to see your guys’ picks!

I’ve met a girl named Emerald before; she went by Emmy or Em mostly. I think playing Sonic games as a kid made it impossible for me to separate the name from the Chaos Emeralds that are so major to the plot. It’s a gorgeous gemstone, though, and I like Emmy as a nickname. One of my best friends has said before that her dream name for her first daughter is Opal. I like this one both because of the stone itself (so pretty but underrated) and because it has a classic feel to it.Besides those two, Flora is in the top 3 for my personal favorites, and I haven’t met anyone in real life with the name! I also think Fern and Wren are very cute and underutilized. Sage is a cool name in my opinion, and I don’t see it used very often, but I do worry that it’ll be considered too trendy.

Every name you mentioned, Emerald “Emmy”, Opal, Flora, Fern, Wren and Sage are fantastic! I love all of them, particularly Fern and Sage.
