As in have I ever thought of a name I assumed I thought of myself then find out it already exists? Yes, when I was a kid and teenager. As an adult I just preemptively assume any of my ideas I arrive to already exist in some capacity because I'm rarely creative enough to concoct original ideas hahaha.

It's actually a pet peeve of mine when parents say they made up a name that already exists. Had a mother tell me ones she invented Neveah, like nope you did not. Another mom told me she invented Evangeline, um nope you did not, spelling it incorrectly doesn't mean you invented it. Another one told me she invented Rosella, which happens to also be a type of bird btw, and it took all my efforts to hold my tongue as she explained how many people complimented her on her creative, original name idea when Google searches take mere seconds.
