Long past its sell-by date. And I prefer the more traditional Janet. We had a Janice on these boards for years, and she was very trenchant about it - QueenV, if you're out there, you are still remembered!

I was wondering where she went! I'd forgotten her username, though: QueenV. Which makes sense, as her daughter was Victoria (I remember her taking some umbrage at my dislike of the name many years ago, lol).

Ahhh I remember her. That Christopher Columbus thread really went crazy I see. Wait, maybe I’m misremembering, was she involved in that? She made a very interesting exit is all I know. Whether Janis was that or Janice, she likely just thought Janis was unneeded.

I have found that the vast majority of people who say they don't like the name Janice\Janis cite one of two reasons: It's dated and\or it's the name of the annoying character on "Friends." Neither of which is poor Janice's fault and no reason not to like the name.

Huh, I was positive she was a Janis regardless - though one who didn't like the way her name was spelt.
