Like, Gatsby? This name reminds me of Cateline or just Cate. I’m not sure what to do with Catesby. It sounds cheap.

I don't really get it as a name, but it's better than Gatsby.

If I were to make an animated spoof of "The Great Gatsby" starring anthropomorphic cats, I would use the name Catesby or Catsby.

I think it's really cute, it would make a nice name for a cat or a hedgehog, it's got that Beatrix Potter sort of twee charm to it.

This sound like somebody named their cat a pun between cat and Gatsby.

I might have the words wrong (!), but Robert Catesby was one of the leading conspirators who intended to blow up the Houses of Parliament - which they hoped would result in a Catholic monarch on the English throne. Not the most logical of men.

It’s a speck of a village just outside Daventry in England. I can’t see it as a first name.
