Elara is ok, don't like Liara. Lara or Liana are better

Lara is better than Elara. Elara is one of those names with a neutral sounding vowel at the start, that seems disposable - like "uh Lara"
Unless it's said Eee-Lara. Then it's more like Ilaria ... more interesting. I still like Lara more.
ETA oh I looked and the prn is ELL-uh-ruh? Like Ella + ra? Ellery, but with an A? I don't like that at all.Liara is like a mix of Liana and Liora. I like it more than Liora, but less than Liana. It's pretty.

Part of me likes the "Liar" part of Liara, it's dark and eerie. If you want a dark and eerie pick, go for Liara. Lara is prettily classy if you prefer that sort of thing. I suppose some might find Liara a little flimsy and I do see how it could be perceived that way. I would bulk it up with a formidable middle name in that case.Or maybe I'd think of it like this: Do I like Lia, Ella/Ellie, or Lara better? Because I bet an Elara or Liara would be shortened, but it's pretty hard to shorten Lara. In that case I'd pick Lara, personally.Just to be difficult, might I interest you in Elaia, the ancient Greek word for the olive tree? I think it's beautiful and your choices reminded me of it.

Thank! That’s very pretty and I’ll add it!

Depends how unusual you like your names really! Out of the two of them I'd pick Elara, there's something about Liara that makes it look made up. Personally I prefer Lara :) It's simple, pretty, and won't confuse anyone!
