I’m not sure if I would describe it as dated or even foreign but it definitely has an “out of place” vibe - like a fairy (the trickster kind, not the smutty kind).
I don’t like Sylvie but I do like Sylvia and Sylvana. They’re straight forward.
I’d give Sylvie 4/10. I’d probably pair it with a French or English middle name.
