[Opinions] Alison or Abigail?

Alison is much more fun than Abigail. The latter sounds...sweet, country and innocent. Alison sounds free, airy and city-like. I prefer "freer" names.

Personally, I'm not a fan of "son" names, so I prefer Abigail.

Alison. Abigail just doesn’t interest me.

Abigail. I'd choose Allison if that were an option as I much prefer that spelling.

Abigail. I prefer Alice to Alison.

I like them both but I like Alison more.

Neither, really. Women named Abby, Abbie and Ally, Allie are everywhere (I prefer the Abbie and Allie spellings).Alison is nicer than Allison, but still feels a bit 70s. Abigail feels 80s/90s.I guess I would pick Abigail, as the full name is fun to say. Not a fan of Abbie etc.

Abigail. Alison is too surnamey/masculine/has son in it.

Abigail, definitely! One of my absolute favourite names. So youthful, so classic, so perfect. Alison is dated and dull.

Alison, hands down. I could live with just Gail, but the Abi- is really not my style.
