we have a bit of a time-skip. It's been 9 years, and most of the family's children are now legally adults. Quentin and Aliénor got married in Haiti in Aliénor's ancestral church, officiated by her uncle. They soon had another child, a son. Quentin became a doctor of near east studies, and started working on History Channel TV shows.

Sophie began studying civil engineering at the Rensselaer Polytech, and went to Hawaii on spring break, where she met her DBF, a Hawaii native born to Filippino parents.
